Back again on home soil, Marion is top seed at this week's Internationaux De Strasbourg. She has a 1st Round bye and will play the winner of the Shaui Peng v Rolaca Olaru match.
Following a creditable semi final finish in 2007, Marion will be looking to at least retain last years points, setting her up for the French Open in a positive frame of mind.
Amelie Mauresmo is absent from this years tournament in Strasbourg. However, compatriots Nathalie Dechy and Virginie Razzano will be present.
Comeback kid Jelena Dokic has been given a wildcard. The former world #4 and Wimbledon semi finalist earned the wildcard by winning two ITF tournaments back to back. She is now ranked around 400, and rising. Her presence adds to what should be an intriguing week.
