Semi Final
Virginie Razzano winner by Retirement.
Marion had some strapping on her thigh.
Marion will doubtless be disappointed having to retire, as she is always a tough competitor and had a real shot at a grass court title this week.
However with Wimbledon only days away, and Marion drawn in the bottom half to be played on Monday, we trust that Marion's decision to retire was a precautionary one. She has shown this week already that she will be a real threat to everyone at Wimbledon, and has at least successfully defended her semi final finish at Eastbourne from the previous two years.
More news as and when.
Update 16:45
Marion said, “I pushed off on my right leg to serve and felt a sharp pain in my leg. After that I couldn’t push off on my right leg on my serve, it really disturbed my service action. It wasn’t really bothering me in rallies at first but then, after a few games, it began to bother me in rallies as well.”
“This is two days before Wimbledon. I start playing Monday so it is very difficult. The doctors can’t really say what the problem is. I have to wait until tomorrow to see if it is just a bit of tightness and I can play Wimbledon or if it is a strain of more than 6cm and it will not be possible for me to play.”

Update 2 17:25
"If there is a (muscle) tear, little chance that I can play next week. Doctors still can not decide because it is too early. We must wait until tomorrow for more."
(L'Equipe)
She left the press room in tears.
Also, it's understood that the reason Marion refused the hand-shake is because of comments Razzano made about Marion in an interview in today's edition of L'Equipe.
This is really disappointing behavior by Virginie, why is it that whenever Marion extends the olive branch and the hand of friendship, it is thrown back in her face. Marion must wonder sometimes, why bother.
I even visited Razanno's official website lastnight, to leave comments wishing her good luck for the rest of the season. It seems that too often we offer up kind words, only for some to subsequently show that they were undeserving of the generous attention in the first place.
It makes you wonder sometimes, why bother.
Hope you be fit and well for Monday big baba.
