Please feel free to add any thoughts you have about this match or the tournament in the meantime.

No time to exhaustively trawl for every tuppence worth about Marion's Wimbledon chances this time, but here's a couple that caught my attention.

"Another dark horse candidate would be Marion Bartoli, a Wimbledon finalist in 2007. If she can repeat that form from a couple of years ago, she can make it to the finals again, although the odds are stacked against her. She'll have to take out a couple of no-names and then probably meet Zvonareva before running into Dementieva if she gets that far. But upsets can and do occur. If enough lucky breaks are gotten by Bartoli, she can absolutely get to the finals again, but she'll have to go through a Williams sister at a minimum if the seedings win out."

Marion Bartoli: Former finalist has a fun, quirky game that mirrors her personality. Not a real threat to win, but the quarterfinals are certainly a realistic destination.

        Went to bed at 2:30 last night so i could fall asleep at 7:30, so i could wake up at 11:30 then go back to sleep at 4:30 to get up in 3 hours to go to school, probably fed and serena, might go to sleep eairler if they show djokovic.
        
        If i've worked it right i should get about 7 hours of sleep, rinse and repeat for two weeks and that should be enough tennis on tv to satisfy me, i hope!

        Melbournes the capital of oz. You'll have to visit when the open's on.
        
        Maybe you'll catch a glimpse of her majesty if she chooses to go around the botanical gardens on horse drawn carriage again.
        
        Personally I think she'd really like to do a hot lap around calder park raceway in a V8 supercar. That would really get her adreneline pumping.
        
        Super M said marion likes fast cars and what faster than our v8's for some excitement.
        
        Now get some sleep otherwise you'll snore through the match and upset turtle yoshi man and lighter.
        
        It'll be hard enough not to fall asleep on our Charleston couches.

  The internet thingy on the phone is much slower here than up where I usually live. It may be a rouse to get everyone onto 3G. Yhe phone is 3G capable, but I dunno anything about it.
  
  I paid 20 quid here for wireless internet on my laptop.
  
  So this is what broadband is like. Wa gwam blud, near merc mi hard drive, it's so fast!
  
  The whole blog and song downloads instantly and song plays from start to end without any buffering. Cool.

Insufferable queues, match #1 that goes on forever, possible court switch, and what else (oh yes, the weather) -- Alice, you should have gone to Eastbourne instead.

  I didn't know that. There is another twitter widget, but it uses flash as opposed to basic html.. and I think if I put anymore fash on this blog then you guys will be sueing me soon for melting down your hard-drives lol.
  
  Actually I prefeer the grey weather, just as long as it doesn't rain. I still got sunburnt yesterday, but only around my wrist where I hadn't properly applied sunscreen. By the late afternoon it clouded over after a sunny morning.
  
  Plus, I guess it is easier to play tennis when you're not ball tossing into blazing sunlight and hitting against the evening shadows.

So have I got this right, you have a ticket already and it took that long to get in? That's insane if so! I think Court 18 has more importance with the changes they've made, never been to Wimbledon so not entirely sure but it's definitely a showcourt, annoyed that they moved Marion's match when it would have been televised! Couldn't believe it when they put Zvonareva-Stoop on there instead. Anyway, it sounds as if Marion did brilliant today, I hope her leg is doing well, she can go far I think if it is:-) Have a good day tomorrow, I'm back at work after my tennis travels:-(

No I didn't have a ticket, just joined the queue for a ground pass, which gives you access to most of the side courts. I join ed the queue at the same time this year as last, but it still took over an hour longer to gain entry. 3 hours last year. 4 hours and 5 minutes this year.
